My works are narrative in nature, telling stories and creating connections through symbols and sometimes jarring
combinations of images.  The work combines plant forms and other forms from nature, iconography from
various world cultures, objects and symbols traditionally associated with women through history, and most
currently, the hand, to weave a narrative that is oblique, often personal and sometimes political or issue-oriented.
Work often includes text,  or is in response to language in various forms, both English and Hebrew.
My newest pieces, from the series The Poetic Response, are works created in response to the poetry of Arizona
poet
Lois Roma-Deeley, and others.  These new works use and respond to poetic text to visually express ideas of
vulnerability, fragility and the transitory nature of beauty.

The Tikkun Olam series, looks at the image and iconography of the hand, as it is used in world cultures to
express healing and prayer.  Included in the works is the use of the 'hamsa', a hand-shaped amulet worn to 'ward
off the Evil Eye,' reflected in Middle East and Jewish culture.
